Softball Recap: Glenelg Triumphs

Glenelg lost to Mt. Hebron last Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Gladiators narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Vikings 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gladiators.

The team relied heavily on Ivy Jones, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Audrey Riley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Glenelg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Hebron only posted a batting average of .290.

Glenelg's record is now 18-6. As for Mt. Hebron, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 20-1.

As of now, neither Glenelg nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
