Volleyball Recap: Canyon Springs Takes a Loss

Canyon Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Orange Vista Coyotes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Canyon Springs wouldn't go down easily and took Orange Vista into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 23-25, 15-10.

Canyon Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Orange Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

Coincidentally, Canyon Springs and Orange Vista will both be playing Perris the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Coyotes will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
