Cherokee's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Grainger Grizzlies by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Cherokee had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-13, 25-17, 29-27.

Cherokee's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Grainger, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Cherokee will be playing in front of their home fans against Cedar View Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grainger, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Blazer on the 12th.
