Softball Recap: Desert Oasis Wins Going Away Against Las Vegas

Desert Oasis won the last time they faced Las Vegas and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Diamondbacks were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over the Wildcats. The result was nothing new for the Diamondbacks, who have now won seven matches by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Brianna Bartok made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ali Perkins was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Juliana Karapych, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Desert Oasis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Las Vegas only managed one hit.

Desert Oasis' record is now 10-8-1. As for Las Vegas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Desert Oasis nor Las Vegas have any future games scheduled.
