Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry suffered their biggest defeat since April 16th on Friday. They lost 12-2 to the Marlington Dukes. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 9-16-1. As for Marlington, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will face off against Hillsdale at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Marlington, they will square off against Springfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dukes' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
