Softball Recap: Holy Trinity P Comes Up Short

If Holy Trinity P was feeling good fresh off their 12-4 takedown of Academy of the H on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pride came up short against the Schalmont Sabres on Monday, falling 15-2.

Holy Trinity P saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allesandra Gross, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Gross has hit this season.

Holy Trinity P's record is now 3-7. As for Schalmont, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity P will welcome Albany Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Pride's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Schalmont, they will host Duanesburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sabres' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
