Basketball Recap: Dietrich's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Dietrich waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Carey Panthers with a sharp 72-50 victory. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 61-55 victory back in January.

Dietrich had a senior duo take command as Connor Perkins dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds and Brody Torgerson dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Perkins is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Corrd Wells, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

Dietrich smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in ten consecutive games.

Dietrich's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Carey, they moved to 17-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Dietrich nor Carey have any future games scheduled.
