Basketball Recap: Big Spring Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Big Spring, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 36-28 victory over the Tulia Hornets on Thursday.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nic Carrasco, who posted six points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Carrasco has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaiden Jalomo, who put up six points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Big Spring's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Tulia, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4.

Big Spring wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 42-39 defeat against Idalou on the 13th. As for Tulia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-40 loss against Midland Christian on the 13th.
