Volleyball Game Preview: Brady Eagles vs. Mullen Broncos

On Thursday Brady will have to hit the road after four straight games at home. They will head out to challenge the Mullen Broncos.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Brady took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Overton.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final set scores wound up at 27-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Mullen strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Garden County.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Mullen who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 26-28, 25-16.

Brady better focus on containing Kalli Licking and Ella Rice as the pair were huge in Mullen's win. Licking had 42 assists and 12 digs, while Rice had 12 kills, nine digs, two aces, and a solo block.

Mullen has now won 12 of their last 16 games on the road. That gives them a 13-0 record this season. As for Brady, they are now 5-9, having gone 4-3 since their five-game losing streak ended.
