It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Waverly had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-31 victory over the York Dukes. Winning may never get old, but the Vikings sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Loss or not, York got some senior leadership from Chloe Koch and Lainey Portwine. Koch shot 45% from the field en route to 12 points, while Portwine posted 11 points and four steals. Portwine is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 40% in the last four games she's played.

Waverly's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for York, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-4.

Waverly has already played their next contest, a 38-34 loss against Gretna East on the 7th. York does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
