Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Selinsgrove). They came out on top against the Central Mountain Wildcats by a score of 72-61 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Seals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Selinsgrove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Bastian, who posted 21 points. Xaivier Jackson was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Hunter Hoy and Darius Shade certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Hoy scored 27 points, while Shade went 7 of 12 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Shade a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Noah Wells, who had nine points and five boards.

Selinsgrove has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Central Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

Selinsgrove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-48 loss against Williamsport on the 16th. As for Central Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Shikellamy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Central Mountain is facing Shikellamy at the right time seeing as Shikellamy is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
