Baseball Recap: Nestucca Has No Trouble Against Weston-Mcewen/Griswold

Nestucca saw some tournament action on Friday. Everything went their way against the Weston-McEwen/Griswold Tiger Scots as Nestucca made off with a 19-13 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

The team relied heavily on Brysen McDonald, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Gregory, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Nestucca now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Weston-McEwen/Griswold, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Nestucca will welcome Vale at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Nestucca is facing Vale at the right time seeing as Vale is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Weston-McEwen/Griswold, they will be taking part in a tournament against Umatilla at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
