Softball Recap: Benet Academy Comes Up Short

Benet Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 5-1 to the Roncalli Royals.

Isabella Iovinelli made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Benet Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Roncalli, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

Benet Academy has already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Saint Viator on the 5th. As for Roncalli, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-2 defeat against Cathedral on the 5th.
