Softball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for Santa Clara

The Santa Clara Bruins earned an 11-6 win over the Presentation Panthers on Tuesday.

Santa Clara got a big performance out of Jasmine (Jazzy) Ramirez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That stolen base was Ramirez's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Averie Lopez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Santa Clara pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Presentation, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Santa Clara will take on MacDonald at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Presentation, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Presentation Panthers take on San Mateo Bearcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
