Boiling Springs hasn't had much luck against West Perry recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bubblers will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Boiling Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Boiling Springs came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Greencastle-Antrim, falling 9-1.

Boiling Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabrielle Vonstein, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, West Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of James Buchanan. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Rockets since on Tuesday.

Addie Wiest spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks.

Boiling Springs' loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for West Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

West Perry's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boiling Springs has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. It's a different story for West Perry, though, as they've only averaged .333. Will they be able to contain Boiling Springs' hitters?

Boiling Springs couldn't quite finish off West Perry when the teams last played back in April of 2023 and fell 6-4. Can the Bubblers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
