Baseball Recap: Rock Hill Takes a Loss

Rock Hill managed to slip by South Point the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Redmen lost 11-5 to the Pointers on Monday. The Redmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pointers earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Rock Hill and nudges their season record down to 4-9. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for South Point, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-7.

Coincidentally, Rock Hill and South Point will both be playing Portsmouth the next time they take the field. The Pointers will head out to face the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Redmen will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
