Softball Recap: Northwest Knights vs. Deer Park Wildcats
Northwest had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They suffered a rough 21-4 loss at the hands of the Deer Park Wildcats on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Northwest of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.
Northwest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Freeland, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Northwest will be playing at home against Purcell Marian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwest is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for Deer Park, they will head out on the road to face off against Lockland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Park will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak dating back to last season.
