The Lake-Lehman Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Wyoming Area Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake-Lehman is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
Lake-Lehman came out on top against Hanover Area on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Knights blew past the Hawkeyes 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Hannah Chipego was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.
In other batting news, Kaitlyn Brudnicki was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Haylee Makarewicz was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Lake-Lehman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hanover Area struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Wyoming Area fell victim to Berwick and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Warriors have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Lake-Lehman pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wyoming Area, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Everything went Lake-Lehman's way against Wyoming Area in their previous meeting back in April, as Lake-Lehman made off with a 10-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
