Basketball Recap: St. Edmond Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

St. Edmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 63-48 bruising from Hampton-Dumont/CAL. While losing is never fun, the Gaels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Hampton-Dumont/CAL are ranked 31st).

St. Edmond's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-11. As for Hampton-Dumont/CAL, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-1.

St. Edmond didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-41 loss against Humboldt on the 4th. As for Hampton-Dumont/CAL, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 40-28 victory against Iowa Falls-Alden on the 4th.
