Floresville lost to Jay back in February of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Floresville Tigers/Jaguars put the hurt on the Jay Mustangs with a sharp 12-1 victory. Considering the Tigers/Jaguars have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Emmett Nettles was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Aden Flores was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Floresville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in three consecutive contests.

The win got Floresville back to even at 4-4. As for Jay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Floresville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 victory against Gonzales on the 1st. As for Jay, they have also already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Navarro on the 1st.
