Volleyball Recap: Felton Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Cary last Thursday, Felton Grove came back down to earth. The Galaxy came up short against the Holly Springs Golden Hawks on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-15.

Holly Springs was led to victory by Ella Brueckmann and Ashley Diebler. Brueckmann had 13 digs and two aces, while Diebler had 14 assists and two aces.

Felton Grove has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Holly Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Felton Grove will venture away from home to face off against Sanderson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holly Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Panther Creek on the 24th.
