Recap: Bartlett Panthers vs. Collierville Dragons
The Bartlett Panthers won the last time they faced the Collierville Dragons, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Bartlett strolled past Collierville with points to spare, taking the game 64-47.
Leading Bartlett to victory were Zoey Rixter and Carrington Jones. Rixter scored 15 points along with two blocks, while Jones scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rixter has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamari Hamlett, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Bartlett has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Collierville, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-8.
Bartlett won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Southwind at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th. The timing isn't great for Southwind: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Bartlett has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. Collierville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
