Softball Recap: St. Dominic Crusaders vs. Nerinx Hall Markers        
        
		
             St. Dominic waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Nerinx Hall Markers  a   16-0 shutout. Considering the Crusaders have won 12 contests by more than five  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
  Abigail Mandrell was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Mandrell was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 In other pitching news,  Ann Alsop looked comfortable as she  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  she also racked up five  strikeouts, the mostshe's  had since back in September.
 Back at the plate, St. Dominic got a  massive  performance out of  Angela Williams, who  went 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Madeline Ganey, who  went 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Dominic was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .762. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .344 or higher in four consecutive  games.
 St. Dominic has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 15 matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record  this season. As for Nerinx Hall,  they are  on  a  17-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.
 St. Dominic's road trip will continue as they head out to face Eureka at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Nerinx Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
