Mather is 6-1 against Lake View since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rangers will square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m.

Mather made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Curie, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rangers fell just short of the Condors by a score of 30-28 on Thursday. The Rangers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lake View challenged Urban Prep-Bronzeville/Urban Prep-Englewood on Thursday. The Wildcats walked away with a 20-12 win over the Lions. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Mather's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Lake View, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Mather against Lake View in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 39-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
