Basketball Recap: Sam Rayburn Comes Up Short

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 91-43 loss at the hands of the Shadow Creek Sharks. The Texans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-12.

Despite the loss, Sam Rayburn saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jermaine Youngblood posted nine points and six boards.

Sam Rayburn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-28. As for Shadow Creek, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 29-2.

Sam Rayburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shadow Creek, they have already played their next game, a 71-60 victory against Fort Bend Clements on the 17th.
