Recap: College Park Cavaliers vs. Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos
After a string of five wins, the College Park Cavaliers's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Fort Bend Marshall 61-55. While losing is never fun, College Park can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Fort Bend Marshall is ranked 18th).
Despite the loss, College Park still got an impressive performance from Aiden Buckmon, who scored 32 points. The game was Buckmon's 16th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Martez James, who scored 3 points along with 13 rebounds.
College Park's loss dropped their record down to 15-2. As for Fort Bend Marshall, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
College Park will be playing at home against Caney Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caney Creek is hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they will head out on the road to face off against Lamar Consolidated at 1:00 p.m. on December 19th.
