Softball Recap: Huntington Has No Trouble Against Diboll

Huntington's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Diboll Lumberjacks 7-0. Considering the Red Devils have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Natalie Mullins, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Huntington pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Diboll, they moved to 7-6 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Coming up, Huntington will venture away from home to face off against Woodville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Huntington's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Woodville's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Diboll, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Pollok Central at 6:00 p.m.
