Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Lewis-Palmer Rangers 48-0.
Palmer wouldn't let Lewis-Palmer keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Mason Arrowsmith, Zion Gray, and Izacc Lacour picked up one apiece.
Lewis-Palmer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamesly Kelly-Cannon out in front who rushed for 49 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Kelly-Cannon a new career-high in rushing yards.
Palmer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Lewis-Palmer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.
Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 25-0 victory against Pueblo Centennial on the 25th. Lewis-Palmer has also already played their next game, a 49-28 loss against Discovery Canyon on the 25th.
