Game recap

CORONA, Calif. - Long Beach Poly (Long Beach, Calif.) nabbed the lead on an Elijah Moody touchdown run with 1:00 to go in the fourth quarter to upset Centennial (Corona, Calif.) 35-28 on Saturday.

The Jackrabbits led 22-20 at halftime, but the Huskies regained the lead on a touchdown pass by Robert Webber to Rodolfo Banuelos with 8:00 remaining in the third.

Centennial scored on a Webber touchdown pass to Banuelos in the quarter.

The win was a nice bounce back for Long Beach Poly, which lost to Servite last week, 31-24. The defeat comes as a step back for Centennial, which notched a 69-55 victory over St. Bonaventure in its previous outing. The loss broke Centennial's two-game winning streak.

Centennial (2-1) goes up against Alemany in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Long Beach Poly (2-1) locks horns with Bakersfield also in a non-conference game.
