Brookfield Academy hadn't done well against Luther Prep recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Blue Knights had just enough and edged out the Phoenix 5-3. For the Blue Knights, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 win the Phoenix walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Connor Tracy was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nick Roth, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Brookfield Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Luther Prep struck out eight times.

Brookfield Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Luther Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Brookfield Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Phoenix: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
