Softball Recap: Memorial Red Devils vs. Cardinal Mooney Cardinals

Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Cardinal Mooney Cardinals by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Memorial of the 16-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April.

Ramani Adams put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Adams was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Mileena Williams was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, a double, and an RBI.

Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Cardinal Mooney, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8.
