Basketball Recap: Puyallup Finds Playoff Glory Versus Davis

With a playoff win on the line, Puyallup rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They snuck past the Davis Pirates with a 64-60 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Puyallup pushed their record up to 22-8 with the victory, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Davis, their loss dropped their record down to 21-4.

Looking ahead, Puyallup won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mount Si at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Puyallup has given up an average of 51.6 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. Davis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
