Softball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Danville was the 3-0 winner over Lebanon when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Warriors fell 9-6 to the Tigers on Wednesday.

Allie Gunter was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Piper Whitson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Lebanon, their record now sits at 19-10.

Danville and Lebanon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Warriors (ranked 82nd) will meet Frankfort (ranked 337th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lebanon will face off against Crawfordsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (139 vs. 317).
