Basketball Game Preview: Acadiana Rams vs. North Vermilion Patriots

The Acadiana Rams will challenge the North Vermilion Patriots at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Acadiana will be strutting in after a win while North Vermilion will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Acadiana strolled past Comeaux with points to spare, taking the game 40-25.

Meanwhile, North Vermilion was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 40-36 to Elton. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Patriots came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 157th, while the Indians are ranked 355th).

Acadiana is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 16-18 record this season. As for North Vermilion, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-7.

Acadiana didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Vermilion in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, but they still walked away with a 58-54 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Acadiana since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
