Pacific Grove unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 4-1 to the Gonzales Spartans on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Breakers of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2023.
