Basketball Recap: Barberton Starts Season with Loss at Home

Barberton unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 52-36 bruising from the Cloverleaf Colts on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Magics of the 69-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Cloverleaf was led to victory by Evie Barth and Mackenzie Seiwerth. Barth went 6 for 14 en route to 16 points plus three steals, while Seiwerth earned 12 points in addition to four steals.
