Cajon is 8-2 against Citrus Valley since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Cowboys will host the Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. Cajon is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Cajon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Redlands 67-0 on Friday. Given the Cowboys' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Terriers are ranked 657th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cajon can attribute much of their success to Marcus Washington, who threw for 243 yards and five TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes, and Maleek Nolley, who rushed for 191 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Nolley really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. Another rusher making a difference was Jordan White, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cajon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 360 rushing yards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Cajon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daniel Ramirez and Taylor Johnson. Johnson has been hot for a while, having also posted ten or more total tackles the last 21 times he's played. Another thorn in Redlands' side was Brandon Green, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 48 points the game before, Citrus Valley was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by Beaumont and fell 56-3. The Blackhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-3.
Citrus Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Cajon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Thursday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Cajon has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 197.6 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Citrus Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 91.1 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything came up roses for Cajon against Citrus Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 44-13 win. Will the Cowboys repeat their success, or do the Blackhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
