Basketball Recap: Wootton Patriots vs. Whitman Vikings

After flying high against Walter Johnson on Thursday, Wootton came back down to earth. The Wootton Patriots had to suffer through a 80-52 loss at the hands of the Whitman Vikings. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 175th, while the Vikings are ranked 44th).

Wootton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brian Ngouzo, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 boards.
