Baseball Recap: Carson Cougars vs. Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls

Carson easily dispatched Concord last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Carson Cougars fell just short of the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls by a score of 13-11 on Wednesday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Ragin' Bulls recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Ryan Snyder made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayven Parks, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hickory Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carson will venture away from home to take on South Rowan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carson's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so South Rowan's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hickory Ridge, they will head out to square off against Mooresville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
