Basketball Recap: Crescenta Valley Takes a Loss

Crescenta Valley lost against Calabasas back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Crescenta Valley Falcons received a blow as they fell 75-61 to the Calabasas Coyotes.

When it comes to explaining why Crescenta Valley lost, don't look at Vaughn Zargarian. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 39 points and ten boards. Zargarian's evening made it 16 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Sahagian, who posted 16 points.

Crescenta Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Calabasas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Crescenta Valley will venture away from home to take on Burroughs at 6:45 p.m. on January 7th. Crescenta Valley is facing Burroughs at the right time seeing as Burroughs is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Calabasas, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-61 defeat against El Camino Real on the 3rd.
