Soccer Recap: Lewis County Comes Up Short

If Lewis County was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Herbert Hoover on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Minutemen came up short against the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears on Thursday, falling 8-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Lewis County were already down 5-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Landon Bennett, who's now up to five this season.

Lewis County's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fairmont Senior, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 3-2-4.

Lewis County has already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against PikeView on the 20th. As for Fairmont Senior, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against University on the 20th.
