Recap: Monterey Wildcats vs. Jackson County Blue Devils
The Monterey Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 11th straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 80-57 loss at the hands of Jackson County. Monterey has not had much luck with Jackson County recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Monterey lost, one person who can't be blamed is Aiden Roberson-Barber. Despite the final result, he scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Roberson-Barber continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Gustavo Galindez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Monterey's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Jackson County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monterey will face off against Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson County, they will head out on the road to square off against Smith County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
