Volleyball Game Preview: Everett Alvarez Eagles vs. Palma Chieftains

The Everett Alvarez Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Palma Chieftains at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Everett Alvarez is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Salinas, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-12.

Meanwhile, after a string of six wins dating back to last season, Palma's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Alisal. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Chieftains were not able to get on the board.

Palma was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-23.

Having lost for the first time this season, Palma fell to 5-1. As for Everett Alvarez, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
