Soccer Recap: Goochland Takes a Loss

After flying high against Patrick Henry two weeks ago, Goochland came back down to earth. The Goochland Bulldogs fell just short of the Culpeper County Blue Devils by a score of 2-1 on Monday. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Goochland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Culpeper County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goochland will welcome Thomas Jefferson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Culpeper County, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on James Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Culpeper County their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
