Soccer Game Preview: Mission Oak vs. Lemoore

The Mission Oak Hawks will square off against the Lemoore Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mission Oak is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Mission Oak earned a 3-1 victory over Tulare Western. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Mustangs are ranked 534th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mission Oak hit Tulare Western with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Brady Stevens, Alexander Gutierrez, and Lucio Baltazar.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Lemoore made sure to put some goals up on the board against Tulare Union on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the The Tribe. With the Tigers ahead 3-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Lemoore's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Mission Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2-1 record this season.

Mission Oak came up short against Lemoore in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Mission Oak avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
