Volleyball Recap: Saxony Lutheran's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Saxony Lutheran waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Central Tigers. The game was the first time the Crusaders have beaten the Tigers on their court since October 17, 2022.

Despite the loss, Central had strong showings from Emma Smith, who had 13 digs and five assists, and Sophie Haggerty, who had five kills, five digs, and two aces.

Saxony Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 9-12-1. As for Central, with the defeat, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-7-2.

Looking ahead, Saxony Lutheran will head out on the road to take on Leopold at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Notre Dame on the 2nd.
