Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Crusaders vs. Dunmore Bucks        
        
		
            Holy Cross extended their losing streak  to four  on Monday, dropping their season record down to 6-14 in the process. They lost  8-1 to the Dunmore Bucks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bucks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  5-4  back in April.
 Holy Cross saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Josh Lentowski, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base.
As for Dunmore, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record  this season. Considering they have won 12 contests by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
On Dunmore's side,  Mason Stets made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Stets has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  home run and three  runs.
 In other batting news, Dunmore let  Max Forgione and  Bobby Hoban run wild. Forgione  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Hoban  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Evan Mizenko, who  went 1-for-4 with one  home run.
 Looking ahead, Holy Cross will challenge Elk Lake at 4:30  p.m.  on  the 21st. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9  runs per game  this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Dunmore, they will face off against Montrose at 3:30  p.m.  on  the 22nd. The Bucks are facing the Meteors at the right time seeing as the Meteors are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
