Recap: Alice Coyotes vs. Calallen Wildcats
The Alice Coyotes lost to the Calallen Wildcats on January 2nd, but the Alice Coyotes didn't allow the Calallen Wildcats the same satisfaction on Friday. Alice sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over Calallen.
Mason Trevino went supernova for Alice, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trevino has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Devon Barrera, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Alice's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-9. As for Calallen, their loss dropped their record down to 15-15.
Alice will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against King at 7:30 p.m. As for Calallen, they will head out on the road to challenge Tuloso-Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tuloso-Midway is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
