Soccer Recap: Paraclete Takes a Loss

Paraclete fought the good fight in their overtime game against St. Anthony on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the St. Anthony Saints by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Spirits have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Paraclete and nudges their season record down to 2-7-2. As for St. Anthony, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4-3 record this season.

Paraclete will take on Verbum Dei Jesuit at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Paraclete's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Anthony, they will face off against St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Anthony is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
