Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Center Tigers vs. New Bremen Cardinals

Jackson Center is on a three-game streak of home losses, New Bremen a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Saturday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Jackson Center Tigers duke it out with the New Bremen Cardinals at 1:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Jackson Center lost to Russia at home by a 46-29 margin.

Meanwhile, New Bremen ended up a good deal behind Parkway on Thursday and lost 34-17. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 561st, while the Panthers are ranked 254th).

New Bremen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Jackson Center, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Jackson Center was able to grind out a solid victory over New Bremen in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, winning 43-33. Will Jackson Center repeat their success, or does New Bremen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
